My recent life lessons...
1. It is important to not be afraid of anything.
2. Aim for higher than you can reach. Seriously. It expands your mental boundaries.
3. Everything is transient, life itself is transient, and so, treat it as such. LET GO. Let go of disappointments, complaints, spite.
4. It is very easy to look "through" people in our daily busy lives. Moreover, the corporate culture has instilled in us the belief that meaning business and staying aloof is best, at least in the work environment. I have unlearned this. It is important to remember that there is a "person" in front of you. Always reach out to the person before reaching out to their "role".
5. Invest the time to maintain relationships. They don't just stick around automatically.
6. If someone matters and things got f*cked up, the only right thing to do is to "start over".
7. A big part of letting go is letting go of inhibitions.
8. Invest as much energy and time as you can in people who matter
9. Treat as many things at face value as you can. Good way to keep it simple.
10. Invest in health. It's irreversible.
11. People don't necessarily always go through just one adolescence in their lives. Very big life changes can put you in that place. Just rediscover yourself.
12. No buckets. You don't have to put yourself in any buckets. Be free!
