[For some reason I thought of this idea as I was going to bed last night. I made up the first three lines before going to sleep and the last one as soon as I woke up and was lying in bed this morning.
It's set in a coffee shop G and I went to yesterday, called Art, Coffee and More in Pike's Place, where you can get coffee, tea, tea time desserts, blended juice drinks, wine, beer and food! There's also art if you want to buy, but this poem is about food. :-)
I know this post and the previous post are about food. I want the reader to know that this is purely a coincidence and no way an indication of some sort of an eating disorder! ]
The idea here is that the last word or bunch of words is a scramble of the letters in the first word or bunch of words. I'll highlight the scrambles!
Would you like it Scrambled?
[Artsi hum...]
Mug of Brevé, peppermint gum,
Scone with berries, ice cream cones,
A Pinot if you fancy, or black tea in a pot,
Quiches n subs on Saturdays; On Sundays bisques n such.
If you can think of any such ones, do share. It would be fun!
I'll have to think of a name for this- may be Artsi hum (Sumithra) after its inventor! :-D
Ah, don't nitpick about the spelling in 'artsi', gosh, have you heard of poetic license?
