Monkey, inherently restless, now rests contented, untouched by the intoxicating glamor that is life.
Today I had more fun than I'd imagined! I got together with a couple of friends who were interested in painting, but newbies to acrylic painting eager for tips and feedback. So we had an "art party". We got together and painted whatever we each wanted. It was a great afternoon! We could give and get feedback and share ideas. It's hard, firstly, to find people with similar artsy interests, and secondly, to maintain the artistic bonding through exchange of open and honest feedback. I hope we get to do this again, but even if we don't, I'll always cherish that session!

Sweeeet :) It looks so paavam and chamathu! Actually, why this choice of colors?
From the post:
"Monkey, inherently restless, now rests contented, untouched by the intoxicating glamor that is life."
The bright yellow/orange and pink represent glamor.
I think that monkey can be any of us. :-)
I mean "could be".
I would love to be it. :-)
Aha! Yeah, sure :)
Nice :)... The monkey seems to levitate from all it's calm and peace :)
Loved the concept of art party, hope you all do it again and we get to see many more beautiful paintings.
now rests contended...so well depcited by the painting, yet the sharpness in his eyes makes me think of focus, goal, maybe now he finds the meaning beyond...
thanks Neeraja and thanks Perception.
Perception, yeah, I used chrcoal powder - stuck it on there for the eyes, wanted em to stick out. :-) I think I changed the pic as you were leaving your comment- I took another photo during the day- this one is truer to the actual colors... :-)
