Honey ain't vegan.
My honey ain't vegan.
:-)
After a few months of thinking I was vegan, suddenly a question popped in my head the other day- "I've been having honey, and that comes from bees. How can it be vegan?" And when I looked it up, it's something that of course, has already been discussed/debated before. So what I found out was- honey bees are forced to confines of tiny little cardboard boxes, and made to travel miles and miles in closed trucks, and fed high fructose corn syrup. Not a very comfortable thing to know. So my "vegan" chai was not "vegan" after all. After having read a lot about the good nutritional properties of honey, it's now time to decide which road to take...
