That's a wonderful concept! Due to conditioning, I was expecting shades of blue/purple to represent dreams :). Any particular reason/symbolism behind these colors?
hey, thanks Neeraja. :-) To me, dreams are yellow, because they are free like light and air. Consciousness/mind is blue/purple to me. And reality is red because red is the color of vitality. The vital plane is the earthy plane, hence represents 'reality', in a way...
thanks SecondSight. I expected someone to ask me that question. :) I personally think we belong more to our dreams than 'reality' (well, whatever that is), because dreams are closer to our consciousness. Hence more importance to dreams. But from an aesthetic perspective, I think it looked best for it to be this way too, rather than both being the same size or the red being larger. :) Yeah, it's never clear whether the artist puts down a concept already in their head or forms a concept outa whatever turned out on canvas! ;-)
Interesting! I interpreted the dream space to be larger because dreams are boundless; there is no end to our imaginations and no fences to restrict them. Reality however does come with it's constraints :)
amazing concept. how did this come to you? I like how you have the colors run into each other too, indicating times when dreams and reality flow into each other.
Have you considered hosting up your art at public places like coffee shops or at small galleries??
Hi! Was passing by ur blog and could only regret not having visited before! This painting caught my eye, I think its a very haunting visual you've created. Honestly, i'm not a fan of abstracts, but irrespective of the interpretations(as many and as subjective as they can get)some abstracts linger on in my mind, simply because of the artist's great use of colours and the composition. I think this is one of those!
thanks for stopping by Deepthi. and comments are always welcome. thanks for leaving your feedback on various paintings. I am glad you liked this one too.

Thanks for explaining Sumi. I've never considered yellow in that context before, so it's nice to add that line of interpretation :)
Lovely idea and interpretation of the colors.. Is the dream-space being larger than reality intentional ? :)
