The
monkey could not be put up anywhere at home. It was way too bright! Made me realize something - even if something has value as an art, for the concept or the technique or even the outcome itself, its appropriateness varies based on context. For e.g., the monkey would've perhaps been a fun, glamorous looking piece under certain lights in a gallery. At home it was just way too audacious. The fact that it's now summer and we get lots of light (well of course, except for yesterday and today :-) ) doesn't help.
So here's the dulled down makeover and I am now able to hang it on wall of our den.

'Me the Monkey' 22" X 30" Acrylic & Charcoal Powder on Canvas
PS: And that leaves just one more painting in my list of need-makeover's. I probably won't get to it for a long time, since it's an oil painting and I want to revisit oils later. So now I am free to do more new ones! :-)
